Otto NDFLU VAC

The prominent postmortem lesions are petechial hemorrhages in trachea, mucoid filled naries, swelling of infraorbital sinuses up to neck, focal hemorrhages on shanks and un-feathered skin, purple discoloration of combs, wattles and hocks. Influenza in birds is caused by three genera of avian influenza viruses A, B and C but Influenza A viruses are known to naturally infect birds. It can cause up to 100% morbidity and mortality up to 100%. So far, Avian Influenza H5, H7 and H9 are serious threats for poultry. Whereas, Newcastle disease is caused by different genotypes of Avian orthoavula virus 1 and Avian metaavulavirus 2. ND virus (NDV) has been shown to be able to infect over 200 species of birds which is characterized by lacrimal secretions, nasal discharge and greenish droppings.

Composition

OTTO NDFLU VAC contains inactivated indigenous isolate of Avian Influenza H9 and Newcastle Disease Virus, preservative and oil excipient.

Administration & Dosage

0.25ml/bird in broiler and 0.3ml in breeders or layer pullets’ Subcutaneously (S/C).

Vaccination Program

In Broiler: 10 Days of age or younger.
In Breeders and Layer pullets’: In high challenge area, vaccinate the bird at 15 days of age, revaccinate at 6-8 weeks of age and 2-3 weeks before the expected onset of lay. In low challenge area, vaccinate the bird at 2-4 weeks of age and again at 3 weeks before expected onset of lay

Properties

OTTO NDFLU VAC is prepared from indigenous isolates (Lentogenic Strains- Avian orthoavulavirus 1 isolate NDV-CK-Danish/Pak-OP16-23 fusion gene, #OR269160 & Avian metaavulavirus 2 isolate NDV-CK-Danish/Pak-OP14-23 fusion gene, #OQ622087). The vaccine manufacturing processes are carried out by highly qualified professionals under sterile classified areas, which ensures safety, sterility and quality of the vaccine. Complete cold chain system is adopted for safe delivery of the vaccine. OTTO NDFLU VAC is registered with Health Authorities under Drug Act 1976.

Precautions

  • In case of accidental prick to vaccinator, medical attentionis necessary or consult your doctor immediately
  • Inject Subcutaneously (S/C) under lower part of the neck or Intramuscularly (I/M) into the breast.
  • Don’t use syringes with natural rubber base or butyl-derived elastomeric pistons.
  • Allow the vaccine to approach room temperature (+20oC) before use.
  • Make sure that vaccine equipment is clean and sterilized before use.
  • Store vaccine between 4-8oC in fridge/refrigerator.
  • Protect from sunlight, do not freeze.
  • Avoid intravenous I/V injection.
  • Shake well before use.
