OTTO EDS VAC

Egg Drop Syndrome (EDS) is a viral disease of chickens and quail caused by “duck adenovirus A” also known as egg drop syndrome-76 (EDS-76). This disease is characterized by a decrease in egg production and is accompanied by a reduction in egg quality (abnormal eggs) followed by thin-shelled, soft-shelled and shell-less eggs. The shells may also be rough and “chalky”. Egg production usually drops by 10% to 40%. Although, transient diarrhea and dullness may be seen before the egg shell changes occur. Dead birds showed reproductive tract lesions, atrophy of the oviduct and exudates in uterus (shell gland).
